Zamboanga hazing victim camp files complaints vs. frat members


The family of the slain 21-year-old hazing victim has already filed complaints against members of a fraternity in Zamboanga.

The victim identified as Joselito Envidiado died after undergoing initiation rites of the Tau Gamma Phi. He sustained injuries on his legs and was brought to a hospital but was later declared dead on arrival.

Twelve members of the fraternity are now under police custody, while the master initiator of the incident is currently on the loose as of Tuesday afternoon.

Zamboanga City Police Spokesperson PCpt. Yashier Sarikin disclosed that a similar incident has been reported in the past involving the fraternity but both parties entered into a settlement. – Report from Bea Bernardo
