BALANGA CITY, Bataan — An all-breed championship dog show was held over the weekend at the Vista Mall here participated in by 103 dogs from different provinces in Central Luzon and Metro Manila.

The event was sponsored by the Metro Clark Pampanga Canine Club, Inc. (MCPCCI) and Philippine Canine Club, Inc. (PCCI).

The dog show was not like ordinary dog shows that feature talents or fashion but on the totality from dog’s health and physical well-being.

“The judges are thoroughly looking into the standard of every participating dog, the totality of the dogs. This is a confirmation show based on standard wherein the dogs are being observed on how they stand and run,” Shirley Capilihisan of PCCI.

Judges checked various body parts of the dogs — the teeth, ribs, testicles — and observed how the participants stand and walk/run.
