2 senior Army officers promoted to major generals

MANILA — Two newly-promoted major generals formally got their new ranks during short ceremonies at the Philippine Army (PA) headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City Monday.

The event was spearheaded by PA vice commander, Maj. Gen. Robert M. Arevalo, Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Louie Villanueva said.
Promoted were PA chief-of-staff, Maj. Gen. Danilo Chad D. Isleta, and 702nd Infantry Brigade commander, Maj. Gen. Henry A. Robinson.

The latter unit is based in Manaoag, Pangasinan and is part of the Nueva Ecija-headquartered 7th Infantry Division.

Arevalo congratulated the two senior officers for their well-deserved promotion, saying the Army needs well-qualified senior officers.

“The Philippine Army needs the best senior leaders to lead our troops in combat and our transformation initiatives towards its goal of a more progressive world-class Philippine Army that is a source of national pride,” he added. (Priam Nepomuceno/PNA)
