22.9M learners return to school Monday

Over 22.9 million learners returned to school on Monday, Aug. 29.

Based on the latest data, a total of 22,917,725 registered students for the School Year 2023-2024.

Calabarzon has the most number of registered students at 3,488,180.

This was followed by Central Luzon at 2,626,684 and Metro Manila at 2,497,178.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education said learners under the Alternative Learning System may register at barangays, community learning centers, or the nearest public schools. – cf
