3,285 pasaherong dumating mula Pebrero hanggang Abril, positibo sa covid-19

Nasa 3,285 pasaherong dumating sa Pilipinas mula sa ibang bansa ang nagpositibo sa covid-19 mula Pebrero hanggang Abril ngayong taon.

Ito ay base sa datos ng One-Stop Shop (OSS) ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na tumutulong sa pagpapagawa ng swab test sa mga Pilipinong nagbabalik sa bansa.  

“For us in the One-Stop Shop, these are passengers that we were able to intercept. Eto ‘yung nabantayang dumating. Have we not done it, baka ito ‘yung naging spreader sa iba’t-ibang lugar,” sabi ni DOTr Undersecretary Raul del Rosario sa Care Webinar Series nitong Huwebes (Abril 22). 

“But these were the ones that were intercepted and released, and they have their negative results nung gumaling na,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Nakasaad din sa ulat ng OSS na nasa 213,022 na ang bilang ng mga pasaherong dumating sa Pilipinas sa loob ng mga nasabing buwan.

Dahil dito, binigyang-diin ng DOTr ang kahalagahan ng pagsasailalim sa quarantine kahit na nabakunahan ang isang pasahero laban sa covid-19.

Una nang sinabi ng Department of Health (DOH) na ang bakuna ay para lamang makaiwas sa seryosong covid-19, ngunit wala pang batayan ukol sa pag-iwas ng pagkalat nito.
