Sta. Ana Wharf, Davao City – Illegal drugs known as “shabu” caught at the Sirawan Checkpoint, Task Force Davao on December 2, 2020 at 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
The suspect was identified as certain Erl Cesar Pitogo Camiso, 19 years old and a resident of Nabunturan, Davao De Oro. Intercepted from his possession were five jumbo size and one small heat-sealed plastic transparent sachets of suspected “methamphetamine hydrochloride” or commonly known as “shabu” with an estimated weight of 255 grams and an estimated street value of Four Million Eighty Thousand Pesos (Php 4,080,000.00). The apprehended person was on board a Toyota Vios, color maroon, with Plate Number NBU 3017 traveling from Cotabato City to Nabunturan, Davao De Oro. The suspect attempted to hurdle the checkpoint which prompted the TF Davao personnel with the support of PNP on duty to conduct thorough inspection at the inspection area for private vehicles resulting to the discovery of illegal drugs.
The mayor of Davao City, Sara Duterte- Carpio expressed, “woooowwwww” as her appreciation and congratulation to the troops via viber to Commander Task Force Davao.
According to Col Consolito P. Yecla, Commander of Task Force Davao, the unit has already apprehended 77 persons this year at TF Davao checkpoints involving illegal drugs amounting to Fourteen Million Sixty-Five Thousand Pesos (P14.065M). “I congratulate our troops for a job well done. We will not lower our guards despite our many tasks including scanning the Safe Davao Quick Response (DQR), denying the entry of non-essential travelers and intercepting Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) in support to Davao City’s Task Force Covid. I also admired the professionalism and discipline of TF Davao personnel who accomplished these with zero fatality (all suspects are alive) and no allegation of Human Rights Violation.”
