43 PhilHealth senior officials resign, retire from posts

43 senior officers of PhilHealth have resigned and retired from their positions following the directive of President and CEO Dante Gierran for officials with a salary grade of 26 and above to file a courtesy resignation and give way for the agency’s internal cleansing.

According to PhilHealth, 27 officials have resigned, 6 of whom are from its regional offices and 21 are from the central office. 16 officials have retired, 10 of whom are from the central office and 6 are from its regional offices.

The national health insurance provider is currently under fire for allegations of corruption.
