966-K COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Caraga

BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Health in Caraga Region (DOH-13) said a total of 966,314 coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine doses have already been administered in the region as of Oct. 17.

Based on the latest report released Monday (Oct. 18) night, the agency said of the total individuals vaccinated in Caraga, 484,451 are already fully vaccinated while 481,863 have already received their first dose.

The highest number of vaccinated individuals in the region among the priority groups are the frontline personnel in essential sectors (A4) with 314,027 individuals vaccinated — 114,717 of whom are fully vaccinated while 199,310 got their first dose.

Persons with comorbidities (A3), meanwhile, came in second at 280,381 — 192,786 of whom are fully vaccinated while 87,595 got their first dose.

A total of 183,781 senior citizens (A2) already received COVID-19 jabs. Of this number, 102,419 are now fully vaccinated while 81,362 received their first dose.

Meanwhile, 121,371 health care workers have already been vaccinated — 58,651 are fully vaccinated while 62,720 are waiting for their second dose.

The agency also reported the vaccination of 66,754 members of the indigent population (A5) — 15,878 of whom are fully vaccinated and while 50,876 already received their first dose.

“We continue our call to residents in the region who are not yet administered with COVID-19 vaccines to avail of the free vaccination program of the government to protect themselves from the virus,” the DOH-13 advisory said. (PNA) – bny
