Malacañang has declared March 22, 2019 a non-working holiday in the entire province in commemoration of 150th birth anniversary of the first Philippine president, General Emilio Aguinaldo.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed the Proclamation 694 by authority of President Rodrigo R. Duterte last March 12, 2019.

Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo, one of the great grandsons of Aguinaldo, fondly called Heneral Miong, will lead the wreath-laying ceremony at his ancestral house, at Aguinaldo Shrine in Barangay Kaingin.

Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, one of the revolutionary leaders during the Spanish occupation, was born on March 22, 1869 and died on Feb. 6, 1964.
