CSC-Cordillera resets deadline of filing for Aug. 4 exam

BAGUIO CITY – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) here on Thursday urged those interested to immediately file their applications for the career service examinations on Aug. 4 after the deadline for submission has been cut a day short due to the observance of the Eid’l Fitr feast.

Cornelia Rillera, CSC-Cordillera Autonomous Region (CSC-CAR) assistant regional director, said the June 5 deadline was moved to June 4 after Malacañang declared June 5 a national holiday in observance of Eid’l Fitr feast of Ramadan.

“The CSC-CAR reminds all interested applicants to apply immediately while slots are available and not to wait for the deadline,” Rillera said.

Rillera said the deadline will no longer be moved to a later date.

She said applications will be accepted on a “first come, first serve” basis at any CSC-CAR field offices in Baguio City, Apayao, Abra and Ifugao and at the regional office.

Rillera said CSC-CAR has even received some applications from Regions 1 and 3 after both regions reached their regional quotas for applicants.

The CSC examination passers will be eligible to apply for permanent or plantilla positions in any national and local government offices.

The CSC-CAR data showed that 1,091 of the 7,877 applicants in the professional level and 177 of the 1,511 examinees in the sub-professional category passed the March 17 examination.
