NDRRMC: Over 2000 people affected by monsoon

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) estimated that over 2000 people have been affected by the southwest monsoon brought by Typhoon Marilyn, 1815 of whom are in evacuation centers while 545 fled their homes for safety. 14 barangays in Regions 9, 11 and 12 were affected. Typhoon Marilyn has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) on its way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
