Duque: Only a few medicines about to expire

Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III was scrutinized by senators who wanted clarification on various issues. Foremost of which is the inventory of drugs about to expire. Duque explained that only a hundred thousand units of metformin are left for distribution on December 31and the rest of the vaccines and medicines have already been distributed to the regions. The agency is now in transition to computerize procurement and storage with the help of US AID and the World Health Organization to avoid wastage.
