House approves 4.1T php 2020 budget

The House of Representatives has approved the 2020 General Appropriations Bill which provides for the PhP4.1-trillion national budget for the next fiscal year in its third and final reading. The budget got 257 “yes” votes, six votes for “no” and no “abstain” votes. House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano assured the absence of the pork barrel in the budget.This came two days after Pres. Rodrigo Duterte certified House Bill No. 4228 as urgent.
