PHP102-M worth of shabu seized in QC Memorial Circle

Anti-narcotics operatives of PDEA RO-NCR and RDEU NCR were able to arrest a Chinese National and seized over PHP 102-M worth of illegal drugs in a buybust operation conducted inside the Quezon City Memorial Circle on Tuesday afternoon (October 8, 2019).

Director III Joel B. Plaza, Regional Director of PDEA RO-NCR identified the arrested suspect as Hongbo He, 45 years old, Chinese National, Businessman and a resident of Mariveles, Bataan.

The suspect was arrested by joint operatives of PDEA RO-NCR together with QCPD Station 10 at around 7:45 PM inside the Parking Area of QC Memorial Circle Complex after transacting with a PDEA agent.

According to Director Plaza, the suspect has been placed undet surveillance for almost 3 weeks, upon receiving information that the said Chinese National, who appears to be a member of the Chinese International Drug Syndicate is involved in illegal sale and distribution of dangerous drugs in the NCR.

Recovered and seized from the suspect were fifteen (15) pieces of transparent plastic packs weighing more or less 15 kilograms with a standard drug price of PHP 102,000,000.00, one (1) unit of cargo van vehicle and the buy-bust money.

Criminal charge for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Article II of the Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed against the suspect in court.
