BuCor continues New Bilibid Prison reform

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) continues its reform in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP). Authorities recently demolished the hovels of the national penitentiary as they serve as breeding grounds for illegal activities. An explosion took place recently at the Bilibid, placing it under red alert status. As maintenance continues, the Philippine National Police – Special Action Force (PNP) and the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) strictly monitor the establishment, with armored vehicles stationed at the compound. However, BuCor assured that the prisoners are safe within the NBP.
