VADM Garcia is new PCG commandant

Vice Admiral Joel Sarsiban has been appointed to the position of commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). The 28th PCG head is a graduate of Philippine Merchant Marine Academy and a holder of a Master of Science degree in Maritime Safety Administration from the World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden. He pursued his doctoral studies in the Philippines. He succeeded Admiral Elson Hermogino in the post.
