House to elect speaker despite term-sharing deal

House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano assured that his term sharing deal with Rep. Lord Allan Velasco will still undergo the standard voting procedure as mandated by the rules of the House of Representatives.

Both Cayetano and Velasco confirmed that there are no changes with the House Speakership deal, wherein Velasco is said to take over the post by 2020.
