IRR of the 4Ps law inked

The implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 11310, the 4Ps Act, were signed today, December 10, 2019. Said rules, particularly Section 7, require the increased amount of benefits of entitled individuals such as the monthly PHP300, PHP500, and PHP700 for day care and elementary pupils, junior high school students, and senior high school learners, respectively. The aide will be given for 10 months for one year. PHP750 health and nutritional grant will also be provided to pregnant beneficiaries with the end of advancing their health and family development.

The Philippine Institute for Development Studies will conduct a triennial impact evaluation on the program.

The beneficiaries will also be required to complete some requirements like the medical consultation by pregnant women, vaccination of children aged five years old and below, school attendance of students, and parents’ presence in the family development session of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The DSWD will warn beneficiaries that fail to satisfy the requirements. Suspension of their benefits will also be a repercussion for failure. Certified non-compliant recipients will be excluded from the list after a year.
