SC defers action on ABS-CBN franchise case

The Supreme Court (SC) has postponed anew the resolution on the ABS-CBN franchise case and decided to deliberate on the matter on April 14 during the summer session of the magistrates in Baguio City.

The magistrates have not acted on the quo warranto petition and motion to issue gag order filed against ABS-CBN although the said moves were discussed.

ABS-CBN earlier commented on the petitions filed by Solicitor General Jose Calida where the media giant claimed it is not violating any laws.

Meanwhile, the petition filed by five senators on Monday before the SC regarding the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) issue was not also deliberated about. – Report from Kenneth Paciente
