POPCOM urges families to avoid unplanned pregnancies during COVID-19 pandemic

Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) Executive Director Undersecretary Juan Antonio Perez III urged parents to prevent unplanned pregnancies during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis in the Philippines.

POPCOM encouraged the Local Government Units (LGUs) to assign barangay volunteers in every community to remind the families about COVID-19 and distribute birth control pills and condoms good for 3 months to prevent unintentional pregnancies.
