AFP Chief of Staff General Felimon Santos tests positive for CoVID-19

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana has confirmed that Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Felimon Santos tested positive for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (CoVID-19).

General Santos announced on Wednesday that he is under self-quarantine after attending a conference with a senior military officer who also turned out positive for CoVID-19.

He received the result of his test on Thursday.

Meanwhile, DND Secretary Lorenzana will undergo a 14-day self-quarantine because he was with General Santos in several activities.

The DND Secretary stated that he feels no symptoms, but as a precautionary measure, he will follow the protocol.
