OFWs receive PhP 10,000 financial aid

The Overseas Worker Welfare Administration (OWWA) is now receiving online applications for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

It is part of the Abot Kamay Ang Pagtulong (AKAP) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

According to DOLE’s guidelines, both documented and undocumented OFWs are qualified to receive PhP 10,000 each. The OFWs who cannot leave the country because of the ECQ will also receive aid.

OWWA advises the OFWs to visit their website or call their hotline 1348 number to apply for the program. – PTV News
