Dentists say no need to rush if dental concerns are not considered urgent

Dentists have advised that there is no need to worry and rush to attend to dental matters if they are not emergency cases such as uncontrolled bleeding, trauma, and cellulitis.

Philippine Dental Association Cavite President Dr. Jean Salazar said not all dental clinics are ready for GCQ since the new normal setup is meticulous, more so with the use of aerosol procedure by clinics.

Salazar said dentists would need to change PPEs per patient and they “need time to gear up” their clinics.

The new normal arrangement in the dental industry includes use of different PPEs per patient, upgraded facilities and equipment, no decorations for easier disinfection, no walk-in procedures, and triage interview to patients prior to appointments. – Report from Stephanie Sevillano
