NAIA cuts number of daily passengers

What used to be three million monthly passengers, the NAIA is now catering to only 100,000 passengers due to new protocols in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal said “only Filipinos” have been allowed since they started imposing restrictions on those arriving in and leaving the Philippines.

Meanwhile, step-by-step procedures have been imposed for returning Filipinos to follow. They will first pass through briefing and testing booths before proceeding to immigration. After their swab samples are taken, they must wait for the results. Strict sanitation procedures in terminals and social distancing are also observed. – Report from Eunice Samonte
