4 Build, Build, Build projects start construction amid COVID-19 crisis

The construction of four big projects under the Build, Build, Build Program of the government has started after the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) gave the go signal to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The projects include the construction of the Bonifacio Global City-Ortigas Link Road, Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, and the Santa Monica-Lawton Bridge.

The said projects were stopped due to the declaration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon last March.

Under the order of the DPWH, individuals aged 21 to 59 years old are allowed to do construction work, provided that they will be tested for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Workers will be provided “board and lodging” to keep them from leaving the sites.
