DTI assures face mask supply sufficiency

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) assured there is enough supply of face masks in the country.

DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez disclosed manufacturers have requested to increase the number of face masks that can be bought by one person from five to 10. Drug stores are now able to buy from other sources and local manufacturers have increased production.

Lopez said prices of medicines must remain based on the released maximum retail price before the COVID-19 crisis. He added that the maximum SRP of other products will not change.

Meanwhile, Lopez said goods confiscated by the DTI, especially health products, are donated to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) to be used for calamities. – Report from Rex Espiritu
