380 distressed OFWs to arrive in PH

380 distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are set to arrive in the Philippines from Kuwait.

According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), two chartered flights were arranged by the Kuwaiti government for the repatriation of the OFWs.

Two batches have been set for June 1 and June 3 with 190 OFWs per batch. The repatriation is part of the Kuwaiti government’s amnesty program that started on April 2020. Around 2,277 OFWs have been repatriated under the said program. – PTV News
