Ospital ng Imus opens first LGU-initiated molecular lab in Region 4A

The new molecular laboratory of the Ospital ng Imus in Cavite is now open after it was granted a license to operate by the Department of Health (DOH).

The laboratory has two PCR test machines that can conduct 400 tests per day. Three more machines capable of conducting 3,000 tests are yet to arrive. It is the first LGU-initiated laboratory in the CALABARZON region and will prioritize testing frontline workers in Imus.

They can avail the services at a lower cost. But outsiders will be financed by PhilHealth),” Imus Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi said.

The Ospital ng Imus is also set to establish a blood bank.

Building na lang ‘yung problema, so magdo-donate pa tayo ng kapirasong lupa para sa tatayuan ng building (We have invited Red Cross to have their regional [office] in the area. It seemed convinced. The problem now is the land so we would donate one for its building),” Cavite third district Rep. Alex Advincula said.
