CHED launches resource portal PHL-CHED Connect

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) clarified that face-to-face class lectures or encounters are still prohibited in areas under enhanced and general community quarantine.

To address concerns of students who have difficulty in acquiring required materials, the CHED has launched its online resource portal called PHL-CHED Connect at https://phlconnect.ched.gov.ph.

Students and faculty members of higher education institutions can access learning materials for free from the said platform as it contains thousands of texts, audio, and video presentation from top universities in the country. The materials can be saved and printed.

PHL CHED Connect also includes open access books from international partners of CHED such as Cambridge, Oxford, and the Australia National University Press.

“Learning must continue, quarantine or no quarantine… We are doing this so our faculty and students will have 24/7 access to educational materials,” CHED Chairperson J. Prospero De Vera III said.

In the case of students without internet connectivity, flexible and blended learning would apply including limited face-to-face learning and the distribution of physical learning materials. – Report from Cleizl Pardilla
