Malacañang disagrees with the issue of PhilHealth’s bankruptcy by 2022

Malacañang has disagreed with the issue raised on PhilHealth’s bankruptcy by the year 2022 if the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic continues.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the government is ready to aid the agency once its funds are depleted. This is also provided for in the Universal Health Care Act.

(We know that free medicine and hospitalization cannot be attained if the expenses of PhilHealth will come from the premiums alone. The government will provide funds if Philhealth runs out of money. We are confident that after the investigation of Presidential Management Staff USec. Quitain and the Senate, the truth will be come out).”
