Statement of the DILG on the appointment of the new PNP Chief

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) welcomes the appointment by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte of Police Lieutenant General Pancratius Cascolan as the 24th Chief of the Philippine National Police.

We are confident that Lt. Gen. Cascolan will lead the national police organization with integrity, professionalism, and dedication to duty. In the face of the COVID-19 glocal pandemic, we are confident that the new PNP Chief will deliver the high demands of public service expected by the public from the PNP as it continues to be a pillar in the battle against this dreadful disease.

Sa iyong bagong tungkulin, katuwang mo ang buong DILG sa pagtiyak na ang pinakamataas na antas ng paglilingkod ng kapulisan ay maipagkakaloob sa ating mga kababayan.

The DILG also acknowledges the service of outgoing PNP Chief Archie Gamboa, who will retire today. In behalf of the men and women of the DILG and all its attached agencies, I salute you for your dedicated service to the country. Your commitment and professionalism is an inspiration to all government personnel.

Mabuhay ang Philippine National Police!
