Opening of Classes will push through amidst 5.4 earthquake in Occidental Mindoro

At 2:16 a.m. today, October 5, 2020, a magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Occidental Mindoro, epicenter of which was located 17 km northeast of Looc at a depth of 122 km. According to Occidental Mindoro Governor Eduardo Gadiano, the Province suffered no major damage. This was also confirmed by the Schools Division Superintendent, Roger F. Capa, and Mr. Mario Mulingbayan, the Provincial DRRM Officer.

Gov. Gadiano also mentioned that no suspension will be declared thus, the opening of classes will push through in the Province of Occidental Mindoro today, October 5, 2020. The distribution of learning modules in the province was also completed three days before the opening of classes.
