The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has discovered a type of reticulated python in a cargo at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The live reptile was found in an outbound parcel that was initially declared as wooden curtains, lanterns, and rattan basket from Janrei Fernandez of Sampaloc, Manila. The parcel was bound to New York.
Meanwhile, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service has lauded the BOC for the discovery of the python that is under the list of injurious species under the Lacey Act and importation laws of the United States of America (USA). – PTV News
