US donates equipment to PDEA

The United States Drug Enforcement Agency and US International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Bureau have donated equipment to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to strengthen government efforts on the eradication of illegal drugs in the country.

The PDEA has received a drug detection equipment worth PhP 13 million. PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva believes that the Philippines has saved money with the new equipment and this will greatly help in the fight against illegal drugs especially the PDEA Interagency Drug Interdiction Group and NCR Seaport Interdiction Unit in intercepting contrabands in airports and piers.
