Fire breaks out in Bacoor City, Legazpi City amidst Typhoon #RollyPH

398 families have lost their homes after a fire engulfed a residential area in Barangay Siniguelasan and Barangay Alima in Bacoor City, Cavite.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection Bacoor, the blaze started at past 10:15 pm and has risen to the 4th alarm after 30 minutes. It started in a house in Brgy, Alima then spread to Brgy. Siniguelasan. It lasted for more than 3 hours until a fire out was declared around 1:28 am.

79 firetrucks were deployed to put out the flames. There were no casualties but 2 injured individuals were recorded.

The firemen had a difficult time in putting out the fire due to the strong winds brought upon by Super Typhoon “Rolly”.

Another fire was reported in a warehouse next to the Concourse Convention Center in Legazpi City, Albay. Witnesses disclosed that the flames started around 8:00 pm and climbed to the 4th alarm causing 11 fire stations to respond.

The cause of combustion of both fire incidents are now being investigated. – PTV News
