DTI releases Noche Buena items SRP

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has released the suggested retail price (SRP) for Noche Buena items.

The DTI asked 140 of 230 Noche Buena item producers not to implement price increase due to the effect of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic to the consumers.

According to DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo, “Hindi ‘yan gagalaw so ‘yung SRP bulletin natin for 2020 na nakalagay ‘yung 2019 prices natin hanggang matapos ang Pasko, ‘yan na iyong presyo niyan na mabibili. (That will not move. The 2019 prices are placed in our SRP Bulletin for 2020 until the end of Chirstmas).”

The price decrease in several fruit cocktails, creamers, and pasta that are included in the Noche Buena items will be implemented from November 15 to December.
Those who will violate the given SRP after the 7-day grace period will immediately receive a notice of violation from the DTI. – Report from Karen Villanda
