Work in government offices, classes suspended due to TY Ulysses

Malacañang has suspended work in government offices and classes in different regions “in view of the inclement weather brought about by Typhoon Ulysses.”

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), work in government offices and public school classes in all levels in Regions II, III, IV-A (CALABARZON), IV-B (MIMAROPA), V, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and the National Capital Region (NCR) have been suspended effective 3:00 PM today, 11 November 2020, Wednesday. This will last until 12 November 2020, Thursday.

It has also been announced through Memorandum Circular No. 82 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea that government agencies “whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/ response to disasters and calamities, and/or performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services”.

Suspension of work in the private sector and classes in private school has been left to the discretion of their respective heads.
