Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on rehabilitation and recovery efforts

The Administration is considering a science-based approach in our rehabilitation and recovery efforts.

Having said this, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will chair the Build Back Better Task Force, with the Department of Public Works and Highways serving as Co-Chair.

The leadership role was given to DENR and DPWH in recognition of their respective mandates and core competence. OP retains its oversight and the Task Force shall be regularly reporting to the President, thru the Executive Secretary.

A working draft on the proposed Build Back Better Task Force Executive Order has been submitted and is being considered by the President.

The Office of the Presidential Spokesperson will provide updates as the need arises.
