Maynilad rotational water interruption extended to Nov. 29

The rotational water service interruption of Maynilad has been extended to November 29.

Maynilad explained that one of the three basins of its treatment plant which was previously filled with sludge is now fully operational while the second basin is now being filled with water.

“Sa aming huling tantya, aabutin pa ng karagdagang 5 araw para matapos ito pati na rin ang muling pagpapataas ng produksyon ng tubig ng amin planta, at pagpuno ng mga reservoir (Our latest estimate shows that it may take 5 days to finish it, to increase the water production of our plant, and to fill up our reservoir),” Maynilad stated.

The shortened duration of the water interruption is expected in the coming days as water continues to build up in pipelines. Mobile water tankers will continue to deliver supply.

“Padaluyin ito nang panandalian hanggang sa luminaw. Maaari din gumamit ng malinis na tela bilang filter, siguraduhin lamang na regular itong papalitan (Keep the water flowing until it becomes clearer. A clean cloth can also be used as filter but make sure that it is replaced regularly),” Maynilad advised on possible water turbidity.

Concerns on the matter may be referred to Maynilad’s social media accounts and its hotlines 1626 for Metro Manila and 1800-1000-92837 for Cavite. – PTV News
