VP Robredo celebrates the Filipino’s love and resilience this Christmas

Vice President Leni Robredo celebrated the spirit of Christmas by honoring the goodness of her fellowmen and the Filipino family’s ability to rise from crisis and calamities.

She also gave due recognition to the frontliners and concerned citizens who have been giving relief goods amidst the blows that hit the country.

VP Robredo appealed to the generosity of each family and extend help to those in need this Christmas, and be a source of strength to each other.

This year’s celebration may be quite different from the past but she pointed out that the pandemic did not diminish the real meaning of Christmas. Loving and giving still prevail in everyone.

“Walang pandemya o sakuna ang pwedeng humadlang sa pagdaloy at pag ibig ng Maykapal. Walang dilim na kayang magligaw sa atin dahil tayo mismo sa atin, dahil tayo mismo ang liwanag ng bawat isa. Tuloy ang liwanag, tuloy ang bayaniha, tuloy ang pag-ibig muli. Maligayang Pasko sa mga Pilipino saanmang sulok ng mundo (No pandemic or calamity can ever block the flow of our Lord’s love. No darkness can ever lead us astray because we, ourselves, are a light to each other. The light shall prevail, the cooperation shall prevail, love shall prevail. Merry Christmas to all Filipinos from all corners of the world),” VP Robredo said. – Report by Eunice Samonte
