51% of Filipinos have experienced emotional problems after losing their jobs due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic as shown by the Pulse Asia survey.
Out of more than 2,000 respondents surveyed, aged 18 and above, 58% of Filipinos have lost their jobs or livelihood while 44% had a decrease in their salaries due to the global health crisis.
The survey also revealed that 16% have experienced mental health problems such as depression while 55% of the respondents say that they have become closer with their families after losing their jobs amidst the pandemic. -PTV News
