Road closures to be implemented on the Feast of the Black Nazarene

The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit will close several roads in Manila to give way for the Feast of the Black Nazarene starting 10:00 PM, Friday.

The road closures include southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard (Quiapo), from A. Mendoza/Fugoso to Carlos Palanca Street, northbound Lane of Quezon Boulevard from Carlos Palanca Street to Fugoso Street, westbound lane of España Boulevard from P. Campa to A. Mendoza Street, the stretch of Evangelista Street from P. Paterno Street to Recto Avenue, the stretch of Palanca Street from Carriedo/Plaza Lacson to P. Casal Street.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also advised affected vehicles to take the following routes:

1. All vehicles intending to use Quezon Boulevard coming from A. Mendoza shall turn right to Fugoso Street, left to Rizal Avenue to point of destination.

2. Vehicles coming from Quezon City taking the southbound lane of España Avenue shall turn left to Nicanor Reyes Street, turn right to C.M. Recto Avenue or turn right to P. Campa Street, then turn left to A. Mendoza Street, right to Fugoso Street to point of destination.

3. Vehicles coming from McArthur Bridge intending to go through Palanca Street shall go straight to Rizal Avenue to point of destination.

4. Vehicles coming from Ayala Bridge intending to take Palanca Street shall go straight to P. Casal Street to point of destination.

5. Vehicles coming from P. Burgos Avenue intending to pass through Quezon Bridge shall go straight to McArthur Bridge or Jones Bridge to point of destination.

The stretch of Ronquillo Street from Rizal Avenue to Plaza Sta. Cruz, and Bustos Street from Plaza Sta. Cruz to Rizal Avenue will also be closed starting 12:00 AM, January 9. -PTV News
