DA bans import of wild birds, poultry products from 3 countries

The Department of Agriculture (DA) temporarily banned the importation of wild birds and poultry products from 3 countries due to the avian flu.

This includes France, South Korea, and the Netherlands.
In a report by the World Organization for Animal Health, chickens and ducks from the said countries have tested positive for the H5N8 avian influenza virus.

The department also suspended the processing of their import clearance to ensure that the virus will not enter the Philippines. – PTV News
