Obligado na ang child car seats sa mga sasakiyan na may kasamang bata edad 12-anyos pataas.

Ito’y sa ilalim ng Republic Act 11229 o ang Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act kung saan ang sinumang lalabag ay maaaring magmulta ng P1000 para sa 1st offense, P3000 sa second offense at P5000 na may kasamang suspensyon ng driver’s license sa ikatlong offense.

Kailangan rin ay nasusunod sa pamantayan ang bibilhing child seat.

“Yung dti naman po ngayon, nag-accredit sila ng mga importers mga manufacturers at mga magmamarket nito wo kailangan din po dito yung ICC at BPS Bureau of Product Standard sticker o yung ICC Import Clearance Certificate katulad ng helmet”, ani LTO Director Clarence Guinto.

Pero ayon sa LTO magsisimula na silang manita bukas gayunman hindi pa sila magbibigay ng ticket  sa mga lalabag dito.

“Nasa info campaign pa lang kami wala pa namang huli ngayon but we are now informing the public na maghanda na rin sila yung mga enforcers namin. Nakikipagcoordinate kami sa TESDA sa pag train ng mga enforcers namin. By this quarter siguro march we will installing assist stations sa mga ibang area sa mga district offices namin para assist doon”, dagdag ni Guinto.
