Lockdown in 5 Bontoc barangays extended until Feb. 7

Lockdown in 5 barangays in Bontoc, Mountain Province has been extended until February 7.

In the executive order issued by Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey, the stricter lockdown starting Monday will be implemented in Barangay Bontoc Ili, Calutit, Poblacion, Samoki, and Tacucan.

Based on the report of the Department of Health (DOH) Cordillera, over 80 close contacts of the patients who tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) UK Variant have also tested positive.

The Bontoc local government has reminded its residents to follow the implemented health protocols to prevent further spread of the virus. -PTV News
