Weapons seized in NPA clash in Quezon


Authorities have recovered several weapons in a recent encounter with members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Quezon Province.

Based on the report of the Philippine Army Second Infantry Division, government security troops clashed with NPA members in Barangay Bulo in Malunay on Tuesday. The encounter lasted for 25 minutes and no injuries were reported on the side of police and military personnel.

Authorities are currently verifying if there are casualties among the NPA fighters.

Checkpoints have been established in the area for the capture of the members of the said group. – Report from Bea Bernardo
