The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is eyeing the start of saliva testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) detection among factory workers and public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers.
According to PRC Chairman and Senator Richard Gordon, the said sector will be the next target to test for the immediate return of their livelihood.
He has talked to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez and Department of Transportation (DOTr) Sec. Arthur Tugade regarding the matter and both of them have agreed to the proposal.
The PRC has recently opened its saliva collection sites in several malls in Metro Manila.
