Majority of MM mayors approves placing PH under MGCQ in March

Majority of Metro Manila mayors are now amenable to place the whole country under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) in March.

According to Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco, 9 local chiefs have agreed to shift the country to MGCQ while 8 have voted for GCQ.

The mayors are set to submit their decision to the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has initially recommended to put the whole country under MGCQ for the purpose of economic recovery. -PTV News
