DFA raises alert level 2 to Myanmar

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has raised the situation in Myanmar to alert level 2.

The alert level went up amidst the pro-democracy protest against the military junta in Myanmar. With this, the non-essential movements of Filipinos in the said country must be limited.

According to the DFA, the move is meant to ensure the safety of over 1,000 Filipinos in the country. They were advised to avoid areas where the protests are being conducted and to follow the directives issued by the Philippine Embassy.
