Arrival of AstraZeneca vaccine delayed indefinitely

The arrival of the AstraZeneca Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine in the Philippines has been delayed indefinitely.

The 526,000 vaccine doses of AstraZeneca from the COVAX facility were set to arrive on March 1. Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez Jr., explained that there will be a delay in the arrival due to the limited supply of the vaccine. The arrival of the vaccine has “no definite date”.

Secretary Galvez stated that they understand the situation due to the high demand from other developing countries. -PTV News
